Spirit
YAL Spirit is a closed program that aims to partner with other youth organisations to financially assist, as a ‘one-off’ payment, for young Australians with a barrier to a specific item/service/experience in their journey.
YAL Spirit works with their identified partners to give back to young people across WA. The program YAL Spirit works on a referral basis. It relies on the referring organisation to identify a young person and what kind of support they need in the form of an item, service or experience.
One thing we ask our partners to consider is to think ‘outside the box’. YAL Spirit aims to bridge that final gap and pay for the barrier between the young person and their goals.
How does YAL Spririt work?
Recognise the need: Staff member recognises a need that doesn’t fit in other avaliable funding options
Letter of Support: This should capture the arrier and expected positive impact on the young person. 200 words min
Referral Form: You will recieve once you become a partner
Review: YAL staff will review both the referral form and the letter of support
Funding: Our accounts team will be in touch to directly pay for the item/service/support.
Outcome Surveys: One will be sent after 1 month of the purchase and another after 6 months to montoir the impact of the funding.
