Our Programs
YAL Connect
YAL Connect is a bespoke scholarship program assisting young Australians to overcome barriers and reach their educational goals. YAL Connect differs from many other scholarship programs as it provides holistic support and tailored support in parallel with financial support. This recipient-focused support has been the cornerstone of its success.
YAL Spirit
YAL Spirit is a developing program that aims to partner with other youth organisations to financially assist, as a ‘one off’ payment, young Australians to a specific item/service/experience in their journey.
YAL Network
YAL Network was established to address the gap in professional network development and financial support for young people aged 14-25, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. By providing skills, mentorship, and resources, YAL aims to guide these individuals through the challenging transition from high school to their future careers, ensuring the program adapts to their evolving needs.
An educational food garden located at YAL Cairns in partnership with Anglicare NQ, STEPS Education & Training. This project provides a broad range of skill development, literacy and numeracy, resilience, and well-being for people housed at YAL’s facility while they are rebuilding their lives through engagement in nature.
