Since 1905, we have sparked opportunities for young Australians around the country
Originally founded by the revolutionary JJ “Boss” Simons as the Young Australia Football League, Boss had a passion and a vision to create equal and accessible space for every young Australian all over the country. With over 120 years of business, we are the oldest youth organisation in W.A. One might say we have time on our side.
What We do
“To meet the changing needs of young people with disadvantages in Australia to reach their potential.”
-Our Mission
“For all young people to achieve their full potential.”
— Our Vision
For 120+ years, we have been building and sparking opportunities for young Australians.
2015 saw the progression and development of the YAL Connect scholarship program. With the support of sponsors, partners, donors and members we offer scholarships to young Australians aged 15-25 all over the country. Since then, we have supported 91 students to the tune of $811,000 and the need is only growing.
We create supportive networks, a safe place to fall and opportunities for recipients to reach their full potential. We want to grow our organisation to access and reach more astonishing young Australians, and help make a difference to their tomorrow.
